Korea is known to be a great place if you are looking for history and great food. They have an amazing culture, geography as well as great places that are perfect for people who would like to check out something new. As one of the most developed countries in Asia, many tourists love visiting the country because of the welcoming people that make their stay a lot more comfortable. If you ever plan to visit the country, here are five things that you must do when you god for a visit.

Visit Gyeongbok Palace - South Korea is known to be once ruled by a monarch this is why you would also get to see palaces all over the country. One of the most famous royal palaces is the Gyeongbok Palace. This palace is located in the northern end of Seoul's main boulevard and it is near the Blue House, the residence of the country's President. It is also near the U.S. Embassy. If you want to know more about their history, then this is the place that you should not fail to check out.

View the Architecture at Bukchon Village - if you are into historical architecture, you will love spending time strolling through Bukchon Village. This place has the largest cluster of traditional Korean homes. You will definitely love appreciating these houses as you pass them.

Shop at the Shinsegae Department Store - shopping is one of the best things that most tourists do and is also a very popular activity in Korea. This is why there are many large department stores in the country. One of the largest is the Shinsegae Department Store and it contains all kinds of merchandise. You will definitely find what you are looking for in this store. You can definitely check out a lot of stuff in this amazing Department store.

Enjoy Nature at Bugaksan - if you love trekking or you are into mountain climbing, then you better check out Mount Bugaksan. It is a 342 meter ascent that you can easily walk through the well maintained trails. Once you are on top, you are rewarded to a magnificent view of Seoul. You will also get to see some ancient fortresses that were built on the mountain. This is definitely a great place for hikers as well as mountain climbers.

Live Like a Korean at Itaewon - if you want to get a taste of home while you are in Korea, you should go to Seoul's Itaewon district. This place contains a lot of bars, clubs, restaurants and shops that cater to the nearby U.S. Army base. You will truly have a great time in this district.
